Who We Are

Do what you love and success will follow. With that in mind, Harrison Fonteyne was created. Susan and Els joined forces to create an agency that would allow them to work promoting products they use and love, provide an exceptional level of client service, go after the "impossible" media placements, make a living and have some fun. So far, so good…

Susan Harrison
Susan has more than 14 years of communications experience, and her crowning professional achievement included back to back front-page placements in The New York Times and The Washington Post, followed immediately by a hit on the Today Show. Susan has put in her time "on the other end of the pitch" as an assignment editor in the D.C. bureau of a national television network. She listened to lots of PR people making lots of bad pitches, and now regularly receives feedback from editors, producers and writers who appreciate her understanding of their needs and her professional and service-oriented style. The reason for her approach is clear: the easier you make the media's work, the more often they will want to work with you and your client. A good day for Susan includes a trip to the beach, a fabulous book and possibly a fresh lime Margarita, rocks no salt.

Els Fonteyne
For more than 18 years, Els has specialized in media relations, working on the agency side as well as in-house. Her instant recall of hundreds of editorial contacts can sometimes be disconcerting, but comes in handy frequently. Els' creative approach to product publicity has resulted in a remarkable quantity and quality of hits for her clients, who will be the first to attest to her go get 'em approach. Els is especially proud of her placement in the September issue of Vogue ("the fashion Bible") and of the fact that editors seek her out to ask her what's cool. She also commits her time, energy and skills to volunteer work, and has put together many special events benefiting her favorite causes. When not poised at the computer or on the phone, Els can be found either shopping, in the garden, or poring over her vast cookbook collection.
